As President and Chief Strategy Advisor of VRINetics, a boutique consultancy, Dr. Pro offers advisory and coaching services informed by thirty years of experience in a variety of executive leadership roles. Prior to founding VRINetics, Richard served as the Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Cone Health, a $2 billion integrated healthcare and financing system in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Pro has also held leadership positions at the $20 billion UPMC health system, Tata Consultancy Services, SAS, and Highmark Health. He has served on multiple corporate Boards, as well as corporate, academic, and governmental advisory boards. A veteran of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, Dr. Pro combines diverse expertise in the disciplines of strategy, finance, leadership, operations, and data science to lead the innovation of actionable, data-driven solutions to the firm’s most difficult, strategic business and operations problems. Richard is also a certified coach for the Six Domains of Leadership model developed at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and offers executive coaching to current and aspiring executives. In addition to more than three decades of healthcare industry experience, Richard earned an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, with a specialization in strategy, and a D.B.A. with high distinction from Liberty University. He also holds a master’s degree in materials science and engineering from the University of California-Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Pittsburgh.
